AJ Odudu Hit with Another Blow as ITV Axes Dress the Nation

AJ Odudu has been dealt yet another setback as ITV has confirmed that another show she fronts, M&S: Dress the Nation, will not be returning for a third series. The decision comes just weeks after reports surfaced that Celebrity Big Brother, which Odudu also hosted, is being pulled from the air.

M&S: Dress the Nation Axed After Two Series

ITV has confirmed that M&S: Dress the Nation, co-hosted by Odudu and Vernon Kay, will not be commissioned for another series. The show first aired in 2024 and ran for two series, with the last episode broadcast last year.

A spokesperson for ITV said: "Following two series of Dress the Nation, unfortunately we won't be commissioning another at this time. However, we look forward to continuing our work with M&S and South Shore this summer on the sixth series of Cooking with the Stars and the fourth series of Tom Kerridge Cooks."

Show Format and Celebrity Guests

The fashion competition series focused on M&S's clothing range, bringing together nine contestants from diverse backgrounds to design clothes for the supermarket. Each week, contestants worked in a design studio creating garments that could potentially be sold to customers. Their creations were judged by a panel comprising a celebrity and M&S fashion experts, with one contestant eliminated weekly until a winner was crowned.

Notable celebrities who appeared as guest judges included Mel B, Cat Deeley, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Celebrity Big Brother Also Rumored to Be Axed

This marks the second ITV show fronted by Odudu to face cancellation in recent weeks. Last month, reports emerged that ITV is planning to axe Celebrity Big Brother, just three years after acquiring the rights to the reality TV franchise. Sources told media that the channel had originally planned a one-year break, intending to bring the show back in 2027. However, it is now claimed the show is being scrapped entirely due to difficulties in recruiting celebrities of the right caliber.

Insiders suggest that potential contestants are now more interested in appearing on shows like Celebrity Traitors rather than Celebrity Big Brother. Meanwhile, the civilian version of Big Brother is expected to return later this year, with an eight-week run launching on September 13.
