The new Netflix miniseries 'Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials' concludes with the revelation that Gerry Wade was poisoned by his half-sister Loraine and her friend Jimmy, acting under orders from the true mastermind: Lady Caterham, played by Helena Bonham Carter.
Based on Christie’s 1929 novel, the three-part series follows socialite sleuth Lady Eileen 'Bundle' Brent (Mia McKenna-Bruce) as she investigates Gerry’s apparent accidental death. She discovers an unfinished letter mentioning the 'Seven Dials', leading her to a plot involving a valuable metal formula developed by Dr. Cyril Matip.
Gerry had stumbled onto the scheme after noticing suspicious behaviour from Loraine and Jimmy. Loraine, desperate to protect the plan, poisoned Gerry. Bundle uncovers their connection and realises they were the killers, but the final twist reveals that Lady Caterham orchestrated the entire conspiracy to sell the formula, driven by grief from World War I losses and financial struggles to maintain her estate.
Lady Caterham is arrested, and Loraine and Jimmy are exposed. In a surprising turn, Bundle learns that the 'Seven Dials' is actually a covert intelligence organisation protecting the formula, and Superintendent Battle (Martin Freeman) invites her to join them.
