Walking Dead Star Kelley Mack Dies At 33

Kelley Mack, known for her role as Addy in AMC's The Walking Dead, has died at the age of 33. She passed away on August 2 in Cincinnati due to glioma, a type of brain tumour, her family confirmed.

Mack appeared in five episodes of The Walking Dead's ninth season between 2018 and 2019. Her character was among those abducted by the Whisperers in the season finale. Beyond The Walking Dead, she had guest roles in TV series such as 9-1-1, Chicago, and Schooled, and appeared in films including Broadcast Signal Intrusion and Mr. Manhattan.

Born Kelley Lynne Klebenow on July 10, 1992, in Cincinnati, she began acting in commercials as a child. She earned an Acting Award from Tisch School of the Arts for her debut role in the 2008 film The Elephant Garden, which also won the Student Visionary Award at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Mack spent the last 11 years in Los Angeles, working in film, television, and voice-over roles. She served as the voice match for Hailee Steinfeld's Gwen Stacy in the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. She also produced short films, including A Knock at the Door (2016), which won an award at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival.

She was an executive producer on the upcoming feature Universal, in which she also starred. Mack wrote, directed, and edited the 2015 short Positive and served as cinematographer on the 2014 short The Kingdom.

She is survived by her parents, Kristen and Lindsay Klebenow; her sister, Kathryn; her brother, Parker; her grandparents; and her boyfriend, Logan Lanier. A memorial service will be held on August 16 in Glendale, Ohio, with a celebration of her life planned later in Los Angeles.
