A Big Bold Beautiful Journey to Despicable Me: The Seven Best Films to Watch on TV This Week

Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell star in Kogonada's beguiling fable, which pushes two damaged people together through a fantastical meet-cute. After meeting at a wedding, David (Farrell) and Sarah (Robbie) end up in the same mysterious rental car, guided by a matchmaking GPS to magical doors that revisit scenes from their pasts. The film airs Saturday 18 April at 11.50am and 6pm on Sky Cinema Premiere.

Audrey Hepburn stars in Billy Wilder's old-school romance Sabrina, about love across the class divide. Hepburn plays the chauffeur's daughter who catches the eye of playboy David (William Holden), but his brother Linus (Humphrey Bogart) plots to seduce her instead. The film is on Saturday 18 April at 12.50pm on Sky Arts.

Despicable Me, the 2010 animated comedy that launched the Minions franchise, airs Sunday 19 April at 3.05pm on BBC One. With three sequels and a third spin-off prequel due in July, the film features Steve Carell as Gru, a not-too-villainous supervillain who adopts three orphaned girls.

Steve Martin stars in The Man with Two Brains, a spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies, airing Wednesday 22 April at 8.55am and 4.25am on Sky Cinema Greats. Martin plays a brain surgeon who falls for a disembodied brain voiced by Sissy Spacek.

Frank Sinatra stars in Frank Capra's romantic drama A Hole in the Head, airing Friday 24 April at 1.45pm on Sky Arts. Sinatra plays a Miami hotel owner with an eye for the ladies, whose financial troubles force him to rely on his successful brother.

Skyscraper, starring Dwayne Johnson as an FBI agent turned security expert, airs Friday 24 April at 11.20pm on ITV1. The action-thriller follows Johnson's character as he rescues his family from a blazing building at 3,000ft elevation.
