Traitors boss wants Tom Cruise and Prince William next

The boss of Celebrity Traitors has named the two celebrities he would like to appear in a future series: Hollywood star Tom Cruise and a senior royal, Prince William.

Stephen Lambert, chief executive of Studio Lambert, which produces Celebrity Traitors, Race Across the World and Gogglebox, told The Times that Cruise would be a good fit for the show.

Record Ratings for Series Two

Series two of the Claudia Winkleman-hosted reality show pulled in 15 million viewers per episode in 2026, proving terrestrial TV can still attract large audiences. This year's cast included James Blunt, Michael Sheen, Richard E. Grant and Miranda Hart.

Lambert said of Cruise: "He would be great. And he loves Britain. We're right up there in terms of our aspirations for the kind of person that might do the show."

Royal Connection

Lambert also expressed interest in including at least one senior royal in the celebrity line-up. He received his OBE from Prince William at Windsor Castle in 2025, and added: "Prince William would be good."

Prince William has previously spoken about his fondness for the series. During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show on October 23, he revealed that he, Kate, and their children Charlotte and Prince Louis enjoy watching it.

William said: "I love it, the family love it. Charlotte and Louis are obsessed with it. It's really good telly." He also shared his taste in films, praising Christopher Nolan's work: "His films are fantastic. The Dark Knight series is psychologically dark and deep and I absolutely love that."

Tom Cruise and the Royal Family

Earlier this month, Cruise's fondness for the Royal Family was on display when William and Kate attended the London premiere of his latest film, Alejandro González Iñárritu's Digger. Kate arrived at the Royal Film Performance charity event in a purple gown by Jenny Packham, which Cruise described as "stunning".

Cruise said of the Waleses: "They are amazing people. How dedicated they are to their country and what they give to the world. They're just beautiful people - and fun!" He added of Kate: "She's very funny. She's got a great sense of humour. Obviously very intelligent and fun. And her dress, of course both of them, they're so charismatic. So elegant, that dress that she was wearing - it was stunning."
