Alison Hammond was left in hysterics on Tuesday's This Morning after making an embarrassing on-air gaffe. The presenter, who was filling in for Phillip Schofield after he tested positive for Covid, mistakenly tried to introduce the weather forecast at the wrong time.
Following a segment on soap operas, Alison said: 'Anyway listen, it's time for your weather forecast, here it is.' However, co-host Rochelle Humes quickly corrected her, telling her she had '10 seconds to fill' before a commercial break. Alison, Rochelle, and soap expert Sharon Marshall scrambled to fill the awkward silence.
After the break, the pair had composed themselves and continued with the show. Earlier, Phillip had joined from home via video link, and Alison couldn't resist a playful dig, saying: 'Poor Phil can't be in the studio today - but don't worry he might be at home but he can be with us right now.'
