The BBC has confirmed the release date for the highly anticipated second series of The Night Manager, with the first trailer now available. The new series will premiere on BBC iPlayer in the UK on 1 January, and on Prime Video internationally from 11 January.
Based on characters created by the late John le Carré, the espionage thriller follows MI6 officer Jonathan Pine as he works to expose a conspiracy aimed at destabilising a nation. The series promises high-stakes intrigue, with betrayal at every turn as Pine must decide whose trust to earn and how far he is willing to go.
The original series, which aired in 2016, was a critical and commercial success, winning multiple awards including three Emmy Awards. The new series continues the story, with Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as Jonathan Pine. Further casting details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
