Netflix has announced that its legal drama The Lincoln Lawyer will conclude with its fifth season, currently in production. The series, starring Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as attorney Mickey Haller, has been a strong performer on the platform since its debut four years ago.
Co-showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez stated that the decision to end the show was made to provide a proper conclusion to the story. “All good things must come to an end, but thankfully sometimes how they come to an end is up to us,” they said, promising a satisfying finale for the character.
The final season will be based on Michael Connelly's seventh book in the series, Resurrection Walk, and will feature Cobie Smulders as Mickey's half-sister. Returning cast members include Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, and Angus Sampson, with new additions Amy Aquino, Angela Trimbur, and others.
Season five renewal was confirmed in February, ahead of the fourth season's premiere, which garnered over 26.4 million views globally in its first four weeks. A release date for the 10-episode final season has not yet been announced.
