The Capture Returns: Series 3 Trailer and Release Date Revealed

The BBC has released an extended first-look trailer and new artwork for series three of the hit thriller The Capture, which will premiere on BBC iPlayer and BBC One from Sunday, 8 March. The action-packed trailer stars Holliday Grainger as Rachel Carey, alongside Paapa Essiedu, Indira Varma, Ben Miles, Lia Williams, Ginny Holder, and Ron Perlman.

New cast members for series three include Killian Scott, Joe Dempsie, Andrew Buchan, Hugh Quarshie, Amanda Drew, Linus Roache, and Jonathan Aris. Returning cast members include Andy Nyman, Nigel Lindsay, Tessa Wong, and Daisy Waterstone.

Set 12 months after the events of series two, Rachel Carey is now Acting Commander of Counter Terrorism Command, working to restore public trust in surveillance technology through the new Operation Veritas camera system. A brutal and coordinated act of terror targets the British establishment, leaving behind a single witness. As Carey investigates, she uncovers a conspiracy reaching deep into the state, involving the political establishment, security services, and media.

Episode one of The Capture series three will launch on BBC iPlayer at 6am on Sunday, 8 March, and on BBC One at 9pm that evening. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly on BBC iPlayer and BBC One each Sunday.

The series is created, written, and executive produced by BAFTA-winning Ben Chanan, produced by Heyday Television for BBC iPlayer and BBC One. The first two series are available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.
