On Monday, 13 April 2026, Channel 4 announced that it had acquired six episodes of TFI Friday Unplugged, a revived format that had been hosted on Virgin Radio's YouTube channel. This move marks a significant homecoming for the show, which last aired on the broadcaster in 2015. The first episode is scheduled to air on Friday, 17 April, featuring a star-studded lineup of guests including singers Sam Ryder, Shreya Ghoshal, and Jack Savoretti, alongside comedian Sindhu Vee and actors Peter Capaldi and Cush Jumbo.

Regular segments included games such as "Fat Lookalikes" and "Freak or Unique?," adding to its unpredictable charm.
