Viewers of The Chase Around The World have expressed their frustration with contestants Kati and Amy, branding them 'rude' during the latest episode set in Lisbon. The episode, which aired on July 30, saw the teams compete in a quiz across the city for a £100,000 prize.
Viewers slam sisters' attitude
Fans took to social media to criticise the sisters' behaviour. One wrote: 'The sisters have such a bad attitude! Come across as very mean-spirited.' Another commented: 'TheChaseAroundTheWorld the sisters are f*****g irritating, what spiteful, horrible women.' A third added: 'Sorry, but I hate the sisters. They're f*****g rude! I hope they lose!'
This is not the first time Amy and Kati have faced backlash. After the season one premiere on July 16, a viewer on X said: 'Amy and Kati (well, mostly Amy) rudely barging passers-by out of the way is doing my head in.'
AI disclosure sparks anger
The spin-off has also faced criticism over its use of artificial intelligence. At the end of episode two, ITV aired a credit stating: 'Some images in this programme have been created/generated using AI.' This sparked outrage on Reddit, with one user writing: 'Very disappointed to see this at the end of the latest episode of TCATW.' Another agreed: 'Me too. At least they're transparent about it, and I've no doubt telly as much as anything is pressured to use it, but still.'
The Chase Around The World airs Thursdays at 9pm on ITV1.
