Alison Hammond, Chesney Hawkes, Francis Bourgeois, Maryam Moshiri and Rob Rinder will take part in Taskmaster’s New Year Treat. Host Greg Davies and his assistant Alex Horne will put the contestants through a variety of challenges in the special, with only one victor able to claim the New Year Treat Trophy: a set of Greg’s Golden Eyebrows.
Who Are the Celebrity Contestants?
Hammond is best known for hosting This Morning on Fridays and is also the current co-host of The Great British Bake Off. Hawkes is a singer best known for his number one debut single The One And Only.
Bourgeois, whose real name is Luke Nicholson, is a social media personality who recently became one of the new hosts of Prime Video series The Grand Tour. Maryam Moshiri is a broadcaster and BBC newsreader who has been with the corporation since 2003. Rinder is a criminal barrister and TV personality who previously hosted the reality courtroom show Judge Rinder.
What Else Is Coming for Taskmaster?
Transmission details for the special will be announced at a later date. The announcement follows news that Taskmaster will hold its first UK live show in Manchester next year.
Davies and Horne will perform on stage at the AO Arena on May 26, followed by a show at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on June 22.
About the Show
Taskmaster features a panel of five celebrities who take part in various challenges where they are awarded points by taskmaster Davies. The series premiered in 2015 on Dave before moving to Channel 4 in 2020, with the 22nd series beginning airing in September 2026.
