Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Ola Jordan has predicted that Shaun Wright-Phillips will be eliminated from the competition this weekend, meaning he would miss the show's Halloween-themed episode entirely.
This week's episode sees the contestants perform without a particular theme, following last week's Icons Week which featured EastEnders star Lacey Turner and Love Island star Cach Mercer. Next Saturday's programme falls on October 31, suggesting all routines will carry a haunting atmosphere, but one competitor appears destined to miss it.
Ola Jordan's Prediction
Ola Jordan has voiced her belief that the former Manchester City and England footballer will not only land himself in the dance-off yet again but that his journey on the programme will ultimately reach its conclusion.
Shaun is scheduled to deliver a Jive with partner Alexis Warr to Faith by Stevie Wonder ft. Ariana Grande. Yet Ola has told Mecca Bingo that this won't be sufficient.
She said: "I think Shaun will be at risk this weekend. He's dancing the Jive, and I just don't see him being saved again."
"I think we'll see someone completely new in the bottom two alongside him. I just don't think Jaime will be there, and with Bethany dancing the Argentine Tango, I can't see her being in the bottom two either, in my opinion."
"It could be Lawrence with his Jive, or perhaps someone like John, who's dancing the Quickstep. But I think it'll be someone different alongside Shaun this week, and ultimately, I think Shaun will be the one going home."
Bookmakers' Odds
The bookmakers appear to share Ola's view, as Shaun Wright-Phillips is the odds-on favourite at 4-6 with Coral to become the fourth celebrity eliminated this weekend. Bethany Antonia is priced at 5-2 to lose the dance-off, while Will Best is 6-1 to exit the competition.
In the outright market for the Glitterball Trophy, Lacey Turner remains the frontrunner at 7-4. Tabby Stoecker is second in the betting at 3-1, while returning star Delta Goodrem is priced at 7-2.
Coral's John Hill said: "Shaun Wright-Phillips has been the favourite ahead of each of the three eliminations on Strictly so far in the series, but he has made a mockery of our odds. Once again, the former footballer is the odds-on favourite to depart, but will it be another own goal for the bookmaker this weekend?"
Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight at 6.30pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
