Kai Widdrington could miss out on winning Strictly Come Dancing in a heartbreaking blow, as he and partner Delta Goodrem trail the leading contenders in the betting for the 2026 series.
The professional dancer missed a week's performance alongside Delta Goodrem after the singer was forced to sit out with a rib injury. The pair faced an uncertain future earlier this month but returned to the dance floor last week and earned their first score of 10.
Return to the Dance Floor
Anton du Beke awarded the pair top marks for their performance, declaring: "This is my favourite dance of the series by a million miles. I've got some advice for you moving forward, I would continue to have a rib injury."
Despite their successful comeback, Delta heads into Saturday's Halloween special behind the two leading contenders in Betway's betting on the eventual winner.
Betting Odds and Favourites
Tabby Stoecker is now the favourite to lift the Glitterball Trophy at 11/8, followed by EastEnders actress Lacey Turner at 7/4. Delta and Kai is priced at 5/1, meaning they could miss out on winning the 2026 series.
The favourite has changed over the course of the series, with Dani Dyer initially tipped to win before Lacey moved to the top of the market.
Betway's Lewis Knowles said: "Tabby Stoecker was as big as 12/1 to win the show only a few weeks ago, and the Olympian was a relative outsider, but she has really caught the eye over the last few weeks, and has catapulted herself to the head of our outright betting at 11/8."
He added: "Former favourite Lacey Turner still has a really solid chance of lifting this year's Glitterball Trophy at 7/4, and the market is suggesting it could be a two-horse race this year, with huge prices available for the majority of the other contestants."
Elimination Odds for Halloween Week
Meanwhile, actress Bethany Antonia is the 2/1 favourite to be eliminated during Halloween Week, with Jaime Winstone, Cach Mercer and Lawrence Robb close behind in Betway's next elimination betting.
Lewis said: "Bethany Antonia may well be the favourite for elimination going into week six of Strictly Come Dancing, but there wouldn't be much between her, Jaime, Cach and Lawrence in the betting, and all four of them will feel they are at risk of elimination this weekend."
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.
