Strictly's James Jordan predicts Shaun exit in Icons Week

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan has predicted that Shaun Wright-Phillips will be leaving the BBC show this weekend during Icons Week. Speaking to DailyStar publishers Reach Plc via WhichBingo, Jordan said: "It's got to be Shaun, Shaun will be one. And the other one will be... oh, it's really hard."

He added: "I'm going to say, Sarah and Julian. Don't know why, but ultimately Shaun will be packing his bags, unless he gets a Charleston or something like that and pulls out a fantastic performance, but I just can't see it."

Dance-off comeback

Shaun found himself in the bottom two in the third week of the contest, having to reprise his Quickstep with his partner Alexis Warr. After their second performance, Alexis revealed that Shaun was moved to tears while on It Takes Two.

She told BBC's Ellie Taylor: "After he did it, he got emotional. We went backstage, and he started getting all teared up." Describing his feelings, Shaun responded: "I performed it; she [Alexis] was over the moon about it, so that made me even happier. It honestly felt like I was climbing Mount Everest or something."

Icons Week performances

This coming weekend, the pair will perform their couple's choice routine to a James Brown medley, as they informed the BBC host that rehearsals were going "very well". Shaun added: "She's trying a different tactic this week in terms of learning everything at once. Instead of trying to do it like a puzzle, I'm doing it all in one, so teaching the arms and legs together, start to get more coordination into it."

On Saturday night (October 17), the remaining 13 stars will take to the dancefloor as they take on the likes of Elton John, Adele and David Bowie as part of Icons Week. One celebrity will be leaving during the results show the following night. So far, Strictly has said goodbye to Chris Appleton and Melanie Walters after they failed to secure the judges' favour in the dance-off.
