Strictly Come Dancing's professional dancers delivered a special Remembrance Sunday group performance during the latest results show, moving viewers to describe the routine as "beautiful" and "absolute goosebumps".
Choreographed by Lizzie Gough and set to the Peter Gabriel arrangement of Heroes, the number opened with British soldiers leaving for war. It was inspired by The Monument to the Women of World War II and focused on the lives of women during the conflict.
Viewers React to Emotional Tribute
After watching the performance, one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Absolute goosebumps for that professional performance. My grandma was a code breaker in world war 2. Miss her every day #Strictly."
Another viewer added: "Beautiful performance by the professional dancers for #RemembranceSunday." A third commented: "What a beautiful professional dance #Strictly."
Leaderboard Shake-Up
The Saturday night show proved unpredictable, with the judges' scores differing greatly for each of the remaining couples. Topping the leaderboard was reality star Dani Dyer, who scored her first 10 of the series with her professional partner Nikita Kuzmin.
The couple closed the live episode with an American smooth to It Had to Be You by Harry Connick Jr, scoring 36. Head judge Shirley Ballas said they did "exceptionally well" and stood to applaud them at the conclusion.
At the foot of the table were social media personality John Nellis and his partner Katya Jones, alongside former Love Island contestant Cach and his professional partner Maddie Ingoldsby, tied on 26.
Bottom Two Performances
John and Katya performed the salsa to Get Lucky by Daft Punk featuring Pharrell and Nile Rodgers. Motsi Mabuse said she "loved the choreography", while Craig Revel Horwood described it as "like a three-year-old having a tantrum".
Cach and Maddie danced the waltz to That Ain't You by Mulaa Joans. Motsi called it "elegant", but Shirley said it featured "way too many foot errors", adding: "Some parts are getting better, some need a bit more work."
The remaining couples will return to the dancefloor next week, when Strictly Come Dancing airs at 6:25pm on Saturday, November 14. All episodes of the 2026 series so far are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
