Strictly Come Dancing viewers voiced the same complaint within minutes of the show airing, after Will Best and Dianne Buswell were announced as the first couple to dance for a second time this series.
The BBC dancing competition returned for its halfway episode, with Josh Widdicombe, Emma Willis and Johannes Radebe hosting. The trio revealed that Will and Dianne would open the show, performing a Quickstep to This Love by Maroon 5.
Fans complain about running order
Furious fans took to social media to point out that the couple had already opened the first live show of the series on Saturday, September 26, while other couples had not yet danced first.
One fan said: "How is Will going first already for the 2nd time? There are people there who have never gone first. Between this and his awful songs the producers hate him."
Another wrote: "Will and dianne dancing first AGAIN when they have already been first and have had the lowest average running order position by a mile is f***ing insanity they have been nothing but screwed over this entire series when others have been highly highly favoured."
Mixed reactions from viewers
A third viewer asked: "Will on first again what???" while a fourth agreed: "Haven’t will and Dianne been first already?"
However, one fan praised the performance, saying: "Wow that’s actually the first time I’ve sat up and noticed Will! Light; bright and together- I enjoyed that quickstep a lot. His best dance so far."
