Strictly fans fear Lacey Turner 'had enough' as she nears tears

Strictly Come Dancing viewers have voiced concern for Lacey Turner after this weekend's shows, with some fearing the EastEnders star does not look like she is enjoying the experience. Fans spotted her reaction following the judges' feedback to her performance on Saturday night, and some believe she appeared on the verge of tears during Sunday's results show.

Fans React to Lacey Turner's Emotional Response

Lacey and her professional partner Vito Coppola danced the American Smooth to Adele for Icons Week. TV bosses have been trying to sign the EastEnders actress for years, and some viewers feel she may be having second thoughts about agreeing to take part. People on social media were convinced Lacey "wanted to cry" during Sunday's show.

One viewer wrote: "I'm worried about Lacey. To say she's an actor her performance isn't there. Judges talking about confidence – she's an actor and could create a character to fake it." A second person said: "Poor Lacey looked like she was going to cry waiting for the results after all the flack she got from the judges." Another added that Lacey "looks petrified every time the judges talk".

Early Praise and Growing Concern

After the first live show of this year's series, Lacey's performance was described by Shirley Ballas as "magnificent", while Motsi Mabuse added that the routine was the "surprise of the night". She was considered an early contender for the Glitterball trophy, but fans have since picked up on her looking "uncomfortable and nervous".

Dame Sarah Storey was voted off on Sunday night, but when the results were read out, fans were quick to spot the Stacey Slater star's response, with some claiming her heart does not appear to be in it even after avoiding the dance-off.

Results and Tributes

At the top of the leaderboard were Cach Mercer, who performed a foxtrot as Frank Sinatra, and Jaime Winstone, who was David Bowie for her Paso Doble, both scoring 34 points. Sunday's results show also saw the professional dancers transform into different eras of Madonna as they paid homage to the Queen of Pop, and there was a special tribute to Dolly Parton as singer Belles performed Dolly's iconic "Jolene", accompanied by a dance from Amy Dowden and Kai Widdrington.

Delta Goodrem missed this week's show as she nurses injured ribs but is expected to return next week. Dame Sarah ended up bottom of the leaderboard, and the multi-medal-winning Paralympian admitted she felt "very exposed" performing as Shania Twain for Icons Week. She looked shocked when the real Shania appeared on screen to give her and partner Julian Caillon a good luck message.
