Saltburn Thriller Now Free on BBC iPlayer

Fans of dark, suspenseful thrillers can now stream Saltburn for free on BBC iPlayer. The film, written and directed by Emerald Fennell, follows Oxford student Oliver Quick, played by Barry Keoghan, who becomes obsessively infatuated with his wealthy peer Felix Catton, portrayed by Jacob Elordi.

After his father's sudden death, Oliver is invited by Felix to spend the summer at his family's eccentric estate, Saltburn. The film explores themes of obsession and class, with Fennell drawing from her own experiences of intense youthful love. She told ABC News: 'I drew from my own experience of being a human person, who has felt that thing we all feel at that time in our life which is that absolute insane grip of obsessive love.'

Critics have given mixed reviews, though the film holds a 71% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. One review described it as 'a debauched jolt to the senses,' while Susan Granger of SSG Syndicate called it an 'exasperatingly toxic psychosexual drama.' Robert Levin praised it as 'a weird, intense movie that has the courage of its convictions.'

Barry Keoghan's performance has been widely praised. Jaylan Salah of InSession Film noted: 'Barry Keoghan steals the scenes. Keoghan plays a doe-eyed sociopath, obsessed, dark, and aloof, with such grounded insanity.' The film also features a star-studded cast including Rosamund Pike as Lady Elspeth Catton and Richard E. Grant as Sir James Catton.

Saltburn includes memorable scenes such as Oliver dancing naked around the mansion. Viewers can now watch the film for free on BBC iPlayer.
