Emmerdale's Patsy Kensit teases Sadie's real plan for Caleb and Ruby
Patsy Kensit teases Sadie's real plans in Emmerdale

Patsy Kensit has teased new Emmerdale scenes for her character Sadie King, revealing Sadie's real reasons for targeting Ruby Miligan and her plans for Caleb Miligan. The actress also hinted at upcoming mystery scenes with Graham Foster, months after speculation that the pair were working together.

Sadie's Motives for Targeting Ruby

Kensit explained that Sadie returned to the village after taking a hit in life and needs money, which is driving her actions. "She likes an affluent lifestyle, and so I think she wants that back," Kensit said. She also noted that Sadie finds Caleb and Ruby's marriage painful because she would love what Ruby has.

Despite manipulating Ruby, Kensit confirmed Sadie does feel guilt because Ruby has been kind to her. "The old Sadie would just squash her like a fly, but Sadie sort of struck up a weird, good relationship with Ruby, so it's more complicated," she said. Kensit added that later scenes will show Sadie's genuine sorrow for hurting Ruby.

Attraction to Caleb and Plans Ahead

Kensit stated that Sadie is "100%" attracted to Caleb but couldn't say whether the feeling is reciprocated. She also believes Sadie can convince Ruby she didn't mean to cause trouble, describing Sadie as "very motivated by money and very used to the art of manipulation."

When asked about a romantic match for Sadie, Kensit said Sadie would choose Caleb. She also revealed that Cain broke Sadie's heart, naming Jimmy and Cain as potential loves of her life.

Future Storylines and Graham Scenes

Kensit expressed interest in Sadie having a genuine female friendship, ideally with Mandy, as she gets on well with actress Lisa Riley. She suggested a storyline where Sadie invests in Mandy's beauty bar.

Teasing upcoming scenes, Kensit said she recently filmed a great scene with Andrew Scarborough, who plays Graham Foster. "It's such a happy set and I am loving my time here," she added.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
