Disney has confirmed that Jennifer Saunders, Sean Teale, Simone Ashley, Amar Chadha-Patel, Rhea Norwood, Matthew Beard, and Sharon Horgan have been cast in recurring guest star roles for the sixth season of Only Murders in the Building. The new season is currently filming in the UK, marking the first time the show has ventured overseas.
The storyline remains under wraps, but the season five finale set up a London-based mystery. In the final moments, the trio listens to Cinda Canning's new true-crime podcast about a red-haired woman accused of killing a royal descendant. The woman is revealed to be Cinda herself, who has been fatally attacked in relation to the royal scandal.
Returning cast members include Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, and Michael Cyril Creighton. It has not been confirmed which guest stars from season five will return, though Da'Vine Joy Randolph has been spotted in social media posts from the set.
The series follows Charles, Oliver, and Mabel, three neighbours who solve murders through their true-crime podcast. Season six is executive produced by John Hoffman, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith, Jennifer Crittenden, and Gabrielle Allan.
