Netflix's new dark thriller miniseries I Will Find You, released last week, has captivated audiences so much that many are binge-watching all eight episodes in a single sitting. Critics and viewers alike are calling it Harlan Coben's best adaptation yet.
What Is I Will Find You About?
The series follows David Burroughs (Sam Worthington), a man wrongfully convicted of murdering his son. Five years into his sentence, his former sister-in-law Rachel (Britt Lower) brings news that his son might still be alive, setting off a gripping hunt for the truth. The show is based on Coben's 2023 novel of the same name and is the 13th of his works adapted for screen.
Critical Acclaim and Fan Reactions
Reviewer Luke Eccleston, known online as Eccy Reviews, praised the series on TikTok, calling it Coben's "best one yet." He said: "It feels completely original. It's a lot darker and grittier. It reminded me a lot of His & Hers, which was released earlier this year. With an actually stacked cast, the acting is much better than in previous shows we've seen from Harlan Coben."
Eccleston added: "It is full of twists and turns, and it is a really entertaining show. Honestly, it kept me guessing until the very end, even though I had little suspicions."
Binge-Worthy Format
With only eight episodes, each lasting 30 to 40 minutes, viewers can finish the entire series in four to five hours, making it ideal for a mid-week binge. The compact format has contributed to its popularity, with many taking to social media to share their marathon viewing sessions.
Cast and Characters
The ensemble cast includes Sam Worthington as David Burroughs, Britt Lower as Rachel, Chi McBride as FBI Fugitive Task Force head Max Williams, Logan Browning as his daughter and team member Sarah Greer, Erin Richards as David's ex-wife Cheryl Dreason, Jonathan Tucker as his best friend and police sergeant Adam Mackenzie, and Milo Ventimiglia as Rachel's former boyfriend Hayden Payne. Recurring roles feature Peter Outbridge, Hugh Thompson, Kate Vernon, and Aaron Ashmore, with guest appearances by Clancy Brown, Anna Hopkins, and Eric Johnson.
