Meghan Markle's television comeback as co-host of Junior MasterChef Australia has drawn fierce criticism from fans, with many taking to social media to voice their disapproval of the decision.
The Duchess of Sussex is set to spend several weeks in Melbourne filming the Network 10 programme alongside celebrity chef Poh Ling Yeow, following a stint as a guest judge on the main show earlier this year.
Fans React on Social Media
Some fans were not impressed with the news and expressed their frustration online. One user on X wrote: "Melbourne, Australia !!!! Are you serious about having her back??? Think twice."
Another asked: "What the h*** are you thinking @masterchefau." A third added: "Who the h*** is going to let this woman near their kids for Master Chef Australia after everything."
A fourth commented: "She is not wanted here," while a fifth said: "How to finish off a TV programme."
Security Funding Rejected
The announcement comes as the Duchess faces another setback regarding her security arrangements abroad. Both major political parties in Victoria have firmly rejected the idea of funding Meghan's protection during her stay.
A spokesperson for the Carroll government confirmed to the local Herald Sun that Labour will not pay a single penny for her taxpayer-funded security if re-elected at next month's polls.
