Maya Jama's Traitors Winning Streak at Risk Over 'Habit'
Maya Jama's Traitors Winning Streak at Risk Over 'Habit'

Maya Jama's winning streak as a Traitor on Celebrity Traitors may be in jeopardy, according to body language expert Sean Johns, who has pointed out a 'habit' that could give her away.

The Love Island host has been praised for hiding in plain sight, but Johns, speaking exclusively to Wales Online publisher Reach, highlighted a pattern in her behaviour at the Round Table that differs from her usual manner.

Expert Spots a Tell

Johns described how Maya goes still when others are talking, citing specific moments: "Chin on her hand while Romesh Ranganathan talked about Rob Beckett. Fingers clasped under her chin while Kenny turned on Hannah Fry. The same clasp on Friday while Joe Lycett was questioning James Blunt, again all the way through Acaster's vote, and again after Joe's reveal."

He explained that this stillness is not boredom but concentration: "the body switching off its small movements so nothing leaks while the mind listens hard." This behaviour, he said, contrasts sharply with her energetic presence elsewhere in the castle, where she is "arms up and shouting at the mission gate, loose and laughing in the turret."

Risk of Exposure

Johns noted that Maya's trained presenter skill of holding a neutral face "reads the same way: as management." He also pointed to her actions at the table, such as asking "Why don't we talk about Rob not being here?" and covering her mouth at Joe's reveal, which he said mimics the Faithful to stay invisible.

The expert warned: "Her danger isn't her face. It's that sooner or later someone asks why she's so still. My advice to Maya: move a little."

Concerns for Fellow Traitor

Johns also raised concerns about fellow Traitor James Acaster, suggesting his quietness and reluctance could be a problem. "Quiet plus a face that turns away from every vote is a pattern," he said, adding that Acaster's discomfort may show more next to the relaxed Kenny.

Celebrity Traitors returns to BBC One tonight at 8pm.
