Paige DeSorbo, a star from the US version of Love Island, was forced to make a sudden exit from the villa after suffering a medical emergency. The Summer House star appeared as a guest on the Peacock reality show but fell ill mid-way through filming.
DeSorbo, 31, revealed on her Giggly Squad podcast that she had landed less than 24 hours before filming and was not yet acclimatised. She said: 'It's a long filming day, and we started pretty early. And mind you, I had just landed - not even a full 24 hours that I am there. I'm not even acclimated.'
The reality star, who was wearing a full suede skirt, said the heat became too much despite producers providing breaks, water, umbrellas and ice packs. She recalled: 'I'm like an hour and a half into filming and I'm like, 'You know what? Real quick, I'm feeling a little bit queasy.' I threw up. I literally sat down and passed out.'
DeSorbo said she has a high pain tolerance and did not want to be a 'diva' or 'bothersome', but realised she could not continue. She added: 'I don't think I can keep going, and if I do, I really think I will pass out.'
Fans were left puzzled by her sudden exit, with one writing: 'Weird, they flew Paige out to host a challenge and she didn't finish it?' Another asked: 'Why did Paige DeSorbo just randomly disappear during the episode of Love Island last night?'
After the episode aired, DeSorbo posted on social media thanking Ariana Madix for lending her the islanders, but did not address her health scare directly.
