Netflix stars Jasmine and Bobby Johnson have announced they are expecting their first child, 10 months after the first UK season of Love Is Blind aired. The couple met on the show, where they became engaged without meeting face-to-face, and were married in the finale.
Bobby, 33, from Staffordshire, worked as a luxury shopping guide, while Jasmine, 29, a mental health nurse from London, moved in with him after the show. They shared the news on Instagram with a video showing Jasmine’s baby bump and a rap performed by Bobby.
In the video, Jasmine said she wants to raise their child in a household “where our foundation is on 100”. Bobby’s rap included lines about debating baby names and waiting to learn the baby’s gender. The couple had previously told Grazia UK they struggled to conceive, with Jasmine admitting they were “naive” about getting pregnant.
Their journey has not been without challenges: Jasmine was unhappy about Bobby’s old music video featuring bikini-clad women, and her mother initially disapproved of the relationship. However, at their wedding, her mother said, “They look so happy together.” The official Netflix account reacted to the pregnancy news with heart emojis.
Bobby proposed after rapping a poem, and later said Jasmine was “the girl for me from the start”. The couple are one of two from the series who are still together.
