ITV's daytime programme Loose Women has been pulled from the schedule for the remainder of the week, following a shortened episode on Tuesday. The show, which typically airs from 12:20pm to 1:30pm, was cut short on Tuesday, June 18, to make way for ITV's Racing: Live From Ascot and the lunchtime news.
Presenter Kaye Adams, who hosted alongside Denise Welch, Brenda Edwards, and Janet Street-Porter, informed viewers: "We're finishing a little bit earlier today due to the racing but we still have a packed show coming up." At the end of Tuesday's episode, she confirmed the show would return on Friday, June 21.
Loose Women has been removed from the schedules on Wednesday, June 19, and Thursday, June 20. In its place, ITV will air the lunchtime news for half an hour, followed by coverage of the UEFA tournament at 1pm, and then Royal Ascot Live at 4:15pm.
The scheduling changes come as ITV adjusts its lineup for the Euros, which began in Germany last Friday. Soaps Emmerdale and Coronation Street were also cut from Monday evening to accommodate football coverage.
