Little Disasters Season 2: Channel 5 Drama Future Uncertain After Finale
Little Disasters Season 2: Channel 5 Drama Future Uncertain

The six-part psychological thriller Little Disasters, which has captivated Channel 5 viewers over the past two weeks, airs its series finale on Tuesday, June 23 at 9pm. The drama, based on Sarah Vaughan's bestselling novel, follows four mothers whose friendship is tested when one of them brings her baby to hospital with an unexplained head injury.

No Season 2 Announcement Yet

Despite the show's popularity, with viewers describing it as "addictive" and "brilliant," Paramount+—which first broadcast Little Disasters in May 2025—has not yet announced a second season. The series adapts Vaughan's 2020 standalone novel, which is a self-contained story, making a continuation uncertain.

Diane Kruger Open to Return

Lead actress Diane Kruger, who plays Jess Carrisford, told TV Insider she did not sign on expecting a second season but would consider returning if the script were compelling. "I would have to read something where I could feel like, 'Oh, that's left to explore,'" she said. "If they come up with an amazing script, I don't know."
