Fans of the BBC series Beyond Paradise have identified what they consider to be the perfect role for star Kris Marshall. The actor, who has portrayed DI Humphrey Goodman since his debut in Death in Paradise in 2014, is now being tipped to take on a beloved character in the upcoming HBO adaptation of the Harry Potter series.

A post on Reddit proposed that Marshall would be an excellent choice to play Arthur Weasley in the new HBO series. The fan wrote: "The right age, funny, definitely capable of that wide-eyed enthusiasm, but as his tone on Death in Paradise shows, more than capable of handling the more dramatic moments. Kris Marshall would be the perfect Mr Weasley."

John Lithgow will portray Albus Dumbledore, Nick Frost will play Rubeus Hagrid, Paapa Essiedu is set to take on the role of Severus Snape, and Janet McTeer will be Minerva McGonagall.
