Kris Marshall Fans Want Him as Arthur Weasley in HBO Harry Potter

Fans of the BBC series Beyond Paradise have identified what they consider to be the perfect role for star Kris Marshall. The actor, who has portrayed DI Humphrey Goodman since his debut in Death in Paradise in 2014, is now being tipped to take on a beloved character in the upcoming HBO adaptation of the Harry Potter series.

Fan Suggestion on Reddit

A post on Reddit proposed that Marshall would be an excellent choice to play Arthur Weasley in the new HBO series. The fan wrote: "The right age, funny, definitely capable of that wide-eyed enthusiasm, but as his tone on Death in Paradise shows, more than capable of handling the more dramatic moments. Kris Marshall would be the perfect Mr Weasley."

The suggestion quickly gained traction, with many fans expressing their agreement. One comment read: "This might be my new favourite Arthur-fancast!" Another added: "He would be absolutely perfect." A third fan noted: "I love his character in Death in Paradise and that role is so like Arthur Weasley. And he is tall too. He would be just perfect! Wish they would cast him for the series."

Marshall's Career and the Beyond Franchise

Kris Marshall first appeared as DI Humphrey Goodman in Death in Paradise in 2014, quickly becoming a fan favourite. When he left the fictional island of Saint Marie in 2017, viewers were disappointed, but their spirits were lifted when it was announced that he would star in a spin-off series, Beyond Paradise, alongside Sally Bretton as Martha Lloyd. The show is set in the fictional Devon town of Shipton Abbott and has recently concluded its latest series.

Marshall's portrayal of Goodman has been praised for its blend of comedic timing and emotional depth, qualities that fans believe would translate well to the character of Arthur Weasley.
