Kevin Webster is pushed to the brink as his half-brother Carl's deceitful actions finally catch up with him. Carl, who has been having an affair with Kevin's wife Abi, stealing from their sister Debbie, and causing a hit-and-run that left Tyrone Dobbs in a wheelchair, has managed to evade justice so far. However, Kevin's anger reaches a boiling point when Debbie refuses to see Carl for who he really is.
Debbie, despite knowing Carl's crimes, chooses to protect him, even after he swapped her into the driver's seat following a crash and gaslit her into believing she caused it. Kevin confronts Debbie, but she warns him not to force her to choose between them. Returning home, Kevin trashes his living room in a rage, just as Tyrone arrives to find him at his wit's end.
