King Kenny's Niceness Could Stop Him Being a Great Celebrity Traitor
Kenny's Niceness Could Block All-Time Great Traitor Status

King Kenny's potential as an all-time great Celebrity Traitor may be limited by one key trait: his niceness, according to Metro's Celebrity Traitors columnist Amol Rajan.

Rajan, who appeared in a single episode of the show, notes that Kenny seemed destined for greatness as a Faithful and questions whether he can achieve the same status as a Traitor, particularly with the double-vote power of the dagger.

The Show's Reach and Emotional Toll

Rajan observes that during half-term, he encountered what felt like hundreds of teenagers, and from his anecdotal experience, roughly 99.8% of the country's teenagers are obsessed with the series. He notes that he has been deluged with selfie requests from young people since appearing on the show.

Reflecting on the final episodes, Rajan suggests viewers will mainly see the consequences of exhaustion. He emphasizes that being in the show is emotionally exhausting and all-consuming, describing it as a "very first-world problem" but noting that by this stage, many players are left knackered.

Defending Joanne McNally and Assessing Kenny

Rajan defends Joanne McNally, dismissing suggestions that she is anything other than a lovely, kind player. He attributes her snapping back at Miranda Hart to the floorboard theory, insisting she is not a mean girl.

Regarding Kenny, Rajan theorizes that his alliance with Maya Jama is powerful, but he is "too nice to be an unfaithful Traitor." Rajan describes Kenny as fiercely competitive but a sweet guy who understands that television is a popularity contest, not a boxing match.

Players' Skills and the Only Loser

Rajan praises Maya, Kenny, and James Acaster as phenomenal players for being considered the most trustworthy contestants despite being Traitors, earning them an outdoor turret. He also acknowledges the admirable skill of Sebastian 'Bash' Croft, Romesh Ranganathan, Sharon Rooney, Joanne, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, James Blunt, and Michael Sheen.

As for the eventual winner, Rajan says it could be any of them, but he identifies the only loser: the guy who stepped into a coffin in episode one and never got out, adding that he hears the person is still trapped in there.

Celebrity Traitors airs on Thursday and Friday night at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
