Keira Knightley has revealed how she thinks she would fare on The Celebrity Traitors, admitting she would likely follow the same approach as fellow Hollywood star Richard E. Grant, who outed himself as a Traitor in the first episode of the 2026 series and was eliminated early.
The 41-year-old actress, a fan of Claudia Winkleman's BBC game show, told Radio Times: "I’m watching The Traitors and think I’d be like Richard E Grant. I’d simply admit I was a Traitor. My children and I discussed whether I could go on it — every child wants a parent on The Traitors — and agreed I’d be awful. As a Faithful, I’d cry if everyone accused me. As a Traitor, I’d confess, just as Richard did."
Knightley on Her Spy Role in Black Doves
While Knightley admits she would not make a great spy in real life, she returns to screens as professional spy Helen Webb in the Netflix series Black Doves. She added: "It taps into what I desperately wanted to do as a teenager. I would have jumped for joy at a role like this."
The first series of Black Doves, released in December 2024, became a hit with fans. It follows Helen Webb, assigned to politician Wallace Webb (Andrew Buchan), who becomes embroiled in an affair with Jason Davies (Andrew Koji).
What to Expect in the Second Series
A Netflix synopsis teases: "Helen (Keira Knightley) is still betraying her nation’s secrets to the covert organisation she serves: the Black Doves. But after the misadventures of last Christmas, and with her husband Wallace (Andrew Buchan), preparing to become Prime Minister, she is walking a more treacherous line than ever."
"As Helen’s enigmatic handler Mrs Reed (Sarah Lancashire) is ensnared in a ruthless plot to undermine her position in the Black Doves, Helen is reunited with her best friend Sam (Ben Whishaw). The once high-end triggerman is now reduced to lonely drinks in Soho bars and low-rate hits."
"As they search for answers, loyalties are weaponised, trust is shattered, and the fight to protect the people they love could cost everything. With all the explosive wit of Series 1, Helen and Sam’s mission leads them back to old friends and enemies, through the dark decisions and painful sacrifices of their pasts, and right to the heart of the Black Doves."
