Kate Garraway suffered an epic photo cropping gaffe while attempting to congratulate Alan Carr on his BAFTA win for Celebrity Traitors, and the comedian was not best pleased.
The Gaffe
The Good Morning Britain presenter, 59, uploaded an Instagram photo of the cast of the series on Monday, but fans quickly noticed her 'rather savage' second snap. Kate had accidentally zoomed in on Alan's face, prompting reactions from followers, celebrities, and even Alan himself.
Alan wrote: 'Errr excuse me Kate - what’s going on with that second pic?!!!' Oti Mabuse commented: 'The second pic is giving Facebook'. Fans were amused, with remarks like 'she’s done you dirty there', 'The absolute shade of it!', and 'Kate picked your best feature.'
Alan's BAFTA Win
Alan, who won the series as a Traitor, dedicated his Most Memorable Moment Award to his close friend Paloma Faith, whom he ruthlessly murdered in plain sight on the show. He said: 'There’s no one else I would rather murder than you.'
Kate, a Faithful on the show, wrote in her caption: 'Massive congratulations to the fabulous @chattyman for a very worthy @bafta win for Moment of the Year and the whole gang for @bafta reality show of the year. Love you all and still #flabbergasted (obvs) to have been lucky enough to have been a small part of it. But really want to give a huge shout out to all those NOT in these pictures the incredible behind-the-scenes teams from runners drivers and gang on the ground who kept us sane (ish!)- to the brilliant camera crew editors cable bashers props and the list goes on - you know who you are!'
Claudia Winkleman's Acceptance
Claudia Winkleman accepted the Reality Award for The Celebrity Traitors. The host, 54, revealed she flew down from Scotland on Saturday morning from filming the second series to collect the gong, leaving less than half an hour after receiving the BAFTA to return to Ardross Castle.
She said: 'My favourite things when I'm told I'm taking part in the show. I couldn't believe it in the second series that I was taking part. I love every single aspect because everybody who works on the team is obsessed by it, obsessed by the game. So I love watching how the traitors behave and how the faithful behave, and I want both sides to win equally. So it's confusing. Social media is so important to the show, people who watch together as families is my favourite thing of all and it feels like a real communal moment. We came down from Scotland this morning and I am leaving again in eight minutes.'
