Junior and Princess Andre finished last on the opening episode of Celebrity Race Across The World, leaving viewers questioning whether they will complete the six-week challenge.
The brother and sister pair are among the contestants in the 2026 series of the BBC show, which sees competitors racing from Kuching in Malaysia to Melbourne, Australia over six weeks without mobile phones, on limited budgets and navigating multiple checkpoints throughout the journey.
Viewers react to the Andre siblings
As the contestants embarked on their demanding adventures, viewers flocked to social media to share their reactions, with many already charmed by Junior, 21, and his 18-year-old sister Princess, the well-known children of Katie Price and Peter Andre.
Wednesday's opening episode on October 28 showed the siblings attempting to find their way with assistance from local residents and spending the night camping amongst insects on a coconut farm, where they worked in exchange for accommodation.
Writing on X, formerly Twitter, one viewer said: "Watching Race Across the World. Princess and Junior Andre could have gone off the rails. But they really couldn't have turned out any better. Great kids."
A second viewer remarked: "Junior Andre already appearing very compassionate and kind. Supporting his sister and thanking the locals." A third commented: "Princess and Junior are coming across well."
Another wrote: "Well I love Junior and Princess @RATW_official They're young and they'll learn. Genuinely nice people and should be so proud of themselves."
Last place after a difficult first leg
Nevertheless, by the conclusion of the opening episode, the siblings found themselves in last position and 230km (143 miles) from the finish line, a full day behind their competitors who had already arrived at the first checkpoint.
Footage showed them travelling on an overnight coach where a passenger was being sick in the toilet behind them, prompting viewers to question whether they will complete the race following what they described as their "nightmare" experience.
On X, one person posted: "So.. I have this feeling that Princess and Junior are not going to finish race..." while another stated: "Not a good start for the Andres in last place, still a long way to go."
Also taking part is singer Ella Mary McMahon, professionally known as Ella Eyre, who gained recognition through her collaboration with Rudimental on their number one hit Waiting All Night. She is accompanied by her best friend Nana.
