Jowita's 'absolute ten' tribute to Strictly exit star Lawrence Robb
Jowita's tribute to Strictly exit star Lawrence Robb

Strictly Come Dancing professional Jowita Przystał has praised her celebrity partner Lawrence Robb after the Emmerdale star became the latest contestant to leave the BBC competition.

Over the weekend, the Emmerdale actor ended up in the show's first triple dance-off, alongside actress Jaime Winstone and House Of The Dragon star Bethany Antonia. The judges were tasked with voting to eliminate one couple rather than choosing which couple to save, and ultimately the soap star was let go.

Robb Reflects on His Strictly Journey

Speaking to The Standard, Robb reflected on his time on the show. "If I had any advice for myself, just remember to trust Jowita," he laughed. "And learn to trust yourself as well. Believe that you're capable of doing things that you didn't think were possible."

Przystał said that for her, the judges' scores do not matter, and that Robb always receives "constant tens" from her. "Nobody sees the transformation from Monday to Saturday. You only see the end product, that one minute 40 seconds of dance."

A Tango for Halloween Week

Looking Robb in the eye, she said: "I know you don't believe me when I say this and you think I'm only trying to be nice, but you really are doing an amazing job. So for me, every Saturday, you're an absolute ten."

On Saturday, the pair performed a Tango to "Ghostbusters" for Halloween Week. They received a combined score of 26, one of the lowest of the evenings. They came just one point ahead of Tabby Stoecker and Mark Karmalita, and Graeme Hall and Lauren Oakley, with both couples receiving 25 points.

Elimination and What's Next

Speaking to Emma Willis following his elimination, he said: "It's the most intense, the most incredible, the most loving, caring and wonderful family to be part of. The dance floor is electric. I've got my mum and dad here so I got to dance with my mum and dad again."

Strictly will return to a two-couple dance-off for the rest of the series. The remaining ten couples will return to the dancefloor next week at 6.30pm on BBC One on Saturday November 7.
