Gwyneth Paltrow has publicly wished her trainer and former business partner Tracy Anderson a happy 48th birthday, just weeks after former employees alleged a toxic culture of paranoia, legal threats, and gruelling conditions at Anderson's fitness empire.
The Oscar-winning actress, 50, posted on Instagram: 'Happy birthday @tracyandersonmethod ! I guess you aren’t technically a spouse but we have definitely been in a marriage these past 17 years! You have provided what any real marriage should; love, loyalty, and a path to growth (even if sometimes it’s painful and sweaty!).'
Anderson replied: 'Ahhhhhhhh I had the best start to my bday moving with you! My love runs deep and strong for you beauty!'
An expose by Business Insider last month featured former employees who described a culture of paranoia, legal threats, and intense working conditions. One claimed Anderson feared someone 'smarter and better was going to steal her stuff' and had pursued legal action against ex-trainers she called 'second-rate copycats.' Another said employees' bodies were pushed to 'breaking' point, with studio heat leaving them 'exhausted and dehydrated.'
Anderson has worked with Paltrow since 2006, after the actress gave birth to her son Moses. The pair later became business partners. Anderson's other celebrity clients have included Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, and Kelly Ripa.
