Gone Finale Twist Stuns Viewers with Killer Reveal

The six-part ITV thriller Gone has concluded with a shocking twist that left many viewers stunned. The series, set in Bristol, followed Detective Annie Cassidy (Eve Myles) as she investigated the disappearance of Sarah Polly, wife of headmaster Michael Polly (David Morrissey).

In the final episode, it was revealed that Rory Bowman, deputy head of St Bartholomew's School, was Sarah's murderer. Annie deduced the truth after realising that keys found near Sarah's body belonged to Rory. Through conversation, she learned that Rory had been in love with Sarah and discovered her affair with a parent, Stephen Sedgwick.

Rory confessed to strangling Sarah during an argument, claiming it was an accident. He said: 'I found out about Sarah's affair with Stephen Sedgwick, and confronted her about it. She lied to me... I told her to stop, for the sake of the school. But she kept shouting and shouting. I wanted her to stop shouting.'
