Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) makes a major discovery in Hollyoaks next week when she finds an anti-depressant in the system of Caleb Keane (Lewis Walton), who has been drugged by his father Jonah (Matthew Wolfenden).
Jonah has been secretly drugging Caleb for months, ever since Caleb was injured in a crash upon arriving in the village in April. Caleb and his family remain unaware of Jonah's actions.
Frankie's Suspicion Grows
Caleb had been keen to see the world with girlfriend Frankie, but Jonah, wanting to keep him at home, resorted to drugging him again, which led to conflict with Frankie. With unresolved feelings between them, Frankie finds an excuse to see Caleb.
Meanwhile, Beth (Rebecca Ryan) faces new heartbreak as Maddox (Sam Meyer) slips away from her, revealing he plans to go to Switzerland to meet his biological family alongside Caleb.
A Hospital Discovery
When Beth confronts Caleb, he has another seizure. Frankie, who started work experience at Dee Valley hospital last month, is horrified to see Caleb rushed in. Jonah tries to deter her from his son while feigning concern.
Frankie takes a look at Caleb's test results, breaking the rules, and locates an anti-depressant in his system. After researching, she speaks to Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson), who draws on his own experience to advise her to approach the situation carefully.
Accusations Fly
Frankie tells Caleb she knows he is on strong anti-depressants, and Jonah overhears, swiftly intervening. Later, Maddox vents to Frankie about Beth and Jonah's controlling nature, leaving Frankie with worrying thoughts.
Caleb wonders why Frankie thought he was on anti-depressants, and accusations begin to fly in the Keane household. The question remains whether Frankie has uncovered the truth about Jonah.
Hollyoaks streams Mondays to Wednesdays from 6am on Channel 4's streaming platform, or airs on TV at 7pm on E4.
