Good Morning Britain Pulled Off Air In Schedule Shake Up

ITV has confirmed that Good Morning Britain will be pulled off air on Friday, July 21, to make way for coverage of the FIFA Women's World Cup match between Switzerland and Philippines. The scheduling change is part of a broader shake-up affecting several daytime programmes.

This Morning will also be affected, with the show cancelled on Thursday, July 20, to air Australia vs Republic of Ireland. Lorraine will have an extended 15-minute slot on that day ahead of the match, while Loose Women will be cancelled entirely on Thursday.

The changes come after Loose Women was pulled off air after just 30 minutes on two occasions last week due to ITV Racing coverage. Additionally, The One Show was moved to BBC Two and removed from schedules on Friday for Wimbledon.

Viewers have expressed mixed reactions, with some welcoming the football coverage and others questioning why it cannot be shown on ITV2 to avoid disrupting regular schedules. Good Morning Britain will air as usual on other days of the week.
