Strictly Come Dancing star George Clarke has revealed he watched the pre-recorded launch show alone at home, prompting an outpouring of support from fans. The 25-year-old contestant admitted the experience was deflating as he enjoyed a takeaway solo while his fellow celebrities celebrated with family and friends.
Speaking on his podcast, The Useless Hotline, Clarke told co-host Max Baledge: “So I watched it at home with no one. No, I actually did! I got a Subway as well!” Baledge expressed shock, saying he would have thrown a party, while Clarke noted that other contestants, including Vicky Pattison, shared videos of viewing parties in the group chat.
Clarke explained he was alone because his housemates were out at the time. Fans rushed to comment, with one writing: “Why do I feel bad?” and another saying: “Aww bless him.” The revelation comes after Clarke publicly confirmed his relationship with model Yasmin Amelia to control the narrative before rumours started.
