GB News viewers have expressed outrage after presenters Eamonn Holmes and Ellie Costello paused regular coverage to show photographs from Costello's honeymoon in the Maldives, while munching on snacks. The segment, which aired on the breakfast programme, featured sports presenter Paul Coyte joining the pair with popcorn and crisps, prompting a wave of complaints on social media.
One viewer fumed: "Watching Ellie's holiday snaps whilst hearing Eamon talk with his mouth stuffed full is not what I switched on for. I'm off." Another protested: "How unprofessional GB News! Stuffing their gobs. Just come in from work, switching straight off!" A third demanded: "Whose brilliant idea was it to have these 3 scoffing crisps whilst talking over some pictures of a honeymoon most of us could not afford. Unbearable!"
Additional complaints included: "Stop bloody rustling the wrappers and eating, noise is so annoying, having to turn off," and "Good morning, everyone. Come on, guys. Is there no NEWS?
