Jeff Franklin Reveals the 'Worst Episode' of Full House – Fans Will Be Shocked!
Full House's Worst Episode Revealed by Creator

Jeff Franklin, the creator of the iconic 90s sitcom Full House, has revealed which episode he believes was the show's weakest moment. In a candid interview, Franklin didn't hold back, calling it "the worst episode we ever did."

The episode in question? "The Hole-in-the-Wall Gang" from Season 5. Franklin explained that the storyline, which involved the Tanner family dealing with a hole in their living room wall, felt forced and lacked the heart that made the show so beloved.

"We were scrambling for ideas that week, and it showed," Franklin admitted. "The comedy didn't land, and the emotional beats were missing. It just wasn't up to our usual standard."

Fans of the show might remember the episode for its absurd premise: after a mishap with a golf club, the family tries to hide the damage from Danny Tanner (played by Bob Saget) by pretending a "gang" broke in. The plot spirals into chaotic, slapstick humor that Franklin now regrets.

Why This Episode Missed the Mark

Franklin highlighted three key issues:

  • Lack of Emotional Depth: Unlike classic Full House episodes, this one didn't have a meaningful lesson or heartfelt moment.
  • Over-the-Top Comedy: The physical gags felt exaggerated, straying from the show's usual charm.
  • Weak Character Development: The cast's talents were underutilized, with no real growth for any of the characters.

Despite this misstep, Franklin remains proud of the series overall, which has found a new generation of fans thanks to Netflix and the sequel series Fuller House.

"We had so many great episodes," he said. "But yeah, that one... I wish we could take it back."
