ITV has discreetly added all four seasons of the popular Canadian legal drama Family Law to its streaming service ITVX. The series, which originally debuted in 2021, features Victor Garber and Jewel Staite and has been described as "addictive" by devoted viewers who claim they are "in love" with the programme and never want it to end.
What Is Family Law About?
The series follows members of a dysfunctional family who are reluctantly forced to work alongside one another at their father's law firm, assisting other equally troubled families. A synopsis states: "Family Law follows Abigail Bianchi (Staite), a high-functioning recovering alcoholic whose legal career is in tatters after a very public, very messy meltdown. Forced to work for her estranged father, Harry Svensson (Garber), Abigail must navigate the chaotic world of family law while attempting to build relationships with the half-siblings she has never met."

There are four seasons altogether, with the fourth and concluding series having originally aired in Canada in January 2026. All episodes are now available to watch for free on ITVX, as of Sunday, June 21. The ensemble cast includes Zach Smadu (The Expanse) and Genelle Williams (The Expanse, Bitten).
Critical Reception and Fan Reactions
Family Law has achieved an impressive rating amongst critics and reviewers, with 7.4 out of 10 on IMDb and 74% on Rotten Tomatoes, according to The Mirror. One fan commented: "This show is an absolute marvel. It is quirky, has fun characters with lots of depth, and a family that is both broken and loving at the same time at its core. It can play on the viewers heartstrings just as well as on their outrage. And it draws the viewer in to want to find out more about the lives of the loving characters displayed. Thus, a heartfelt thanks to everybody involved in making this show so sweet. I am in love with this show."
Another said: "Family Law is one of the better shows left on television. Characters are flawed in a realistic way, and yet are still lovable. The sarcastic sense of humour is hilarious.
