Harry Symonds, the sixth housemate to be evicted from the ITV reality series on Friday, October 23, has admitted he does not understand the circumstances surrounding his exit. His departure followed the first time more than two contestants were up for eviction simultaneously, with the public choosing between Harry, Catrin, Twinks, and Sam.
Nominations and the Game Playing Theory
After his exit, Harry appeared on companion series The Group Chat with presenters GK Barry and Kate Lawler. The conversation turned to nominations, with the hosts noting this was the first week Harry had been put up for eviction. A clip showed Big Brother's time zone challenge, where Sam attempted to save Harry but was swapped back by Yasmin. Philip and Rochelle also nominated Harry, suggesting he was 'playing a game' and 'pretending' not to be as smart as he really is.
Asked about this theory, Harry said: "I don't understand. I can't comprehend - I'm not going to even get annoyed but the whole thing - what have I done that's that mad? I mispronounced a few words I get that - like 'mathemagician' and 'tagpole' I get that but it's just something you do in the moment when you're a bit stressed. I don't understand it."
Harry Defends His Actions
Harry also addressed Yasmin's claim that he talks behind people's backs, saying: "With Yasmin - I mean I can't get mad at them because I've nominated all three of them before but the thing with Yasmin saying the reason is because I talk behind people's back, I think out of everyone in the house I can categorically say I am the least (likely) person to do that."
He described his approach to house dynamics, saying: "When I go in there I try to be a peacemaker. The 'playing the game thing', Philip literally said to me in the snug, it was like he saw the devil when Catrin and Twinks came in, he looked into my eyes and said 'Be careful of those two Harry, they're going to come for you' and all this. I was like, that's something a game player would say."

Harry added: "People don't realise when I'm relaxed and not stressed, I do talk rubbish because I'm relaxed, I don't think too much. I might be more switched on at work or something. Since I've been in there, I don't understand that narrative."
Fans were supportive of Harry online, with one posting on a Reddit discussion thread: "I wish we saw more of Harry in the house, he was a bit boring in the house but these yappy convos are hilarious."
