Erika Eleniak, a standout cast member from the original Baywatch series, has been photographed for the first time on the set of the upcoming television reboot produced by Fox and Fremantle. The actress, now 56, is returning in a guest role as her iconic character Shauni McClain, according to industry publication Deadline.
On-Set Appearance and Character Details
Eleniak was seen on the beach in Marina Del Rey, Southern California, wearing a beige blouse layered over a green tank top with matching slacks. Notably, all of her numerous arm and neck tattoos acquired in recent years were concealed with beige makeup for the production. The actress originally portrayed Shauni McClain for three seasons from 1989 to 1992, becoming one of the most recognizable faces from the lifeguard drama.
In the new series, Shauni McClain has evolved into a city councilwoman in seaside Santa Monica. Her storyline involves assisting Hobie Buchannon with organizing the first-annual Beach Games, where Baywatch lifeguards will compete against Coast Guard members in various challenges.

The reboot features an ensemble cast including Brooks Nader, Shay Mitchell, Livvy Dunne, and original Baywatch member David Chokachi.
