Emmerdale spoilers reveal a week of high drama as baby Tate is kidnapped, Kim Tate stabs her daughter Thea Ramsden in a panic, and Sadie King continues to drive a wedge between Ruby and Caleb Miligan.
Baby Tate Kidnapped
Baby Tate is kidnapped from the cottage, prompting a frantic Kim to hide the situation from Joe and secretly enlist Thea's help with strict instructions to exclude the police. The kidnapper heightens the tension by sending ransom demands via a tablet and hanging photos of the family at the cottage.
Graham heads to the cottage as instructed by the kidnapper. When Kim remembers how Thea had it in for her after the crash that killed Dawn, she accuses her of being the culprit. Convinced Thea's responsible, Kim presses her to come clean. When Thea loses her temper, Kim makes a run for it. In an attempt to escape Thea, a panicked Kim stabs her. As Thea bleeds out, Kim pushes her to admit where the baby is.
When Thea accuses Kim of trying to sell the child, Kim realises she really is innocent before Thea passes out, leaving Kim completely desperate. Shortly after, Graham rushes to Home Farm Stables, relieved to find Baby Tate safe and sound but shocked when the true kidnapper is revealed. Kim rushes Thea to hospital. As the doctor insists they call the police, a daunted Kim fears the consequences of her actions.
Sadie Continues to Stir the Pot
Capitalising on Caleb's concern about Ruby's drinking, Sadie manipulates the situation by promising to watch over Ruby while secretly plotting to drive them apart. Sadie goads Ruby into visiting the pub by revealing that Caleb asked her to keep an eye on her, framing it as a control issue to spur Ruby's defiance.
At the Woolpack, Sadie deliberately stirs conflict by prompting a discussion about Manpreet's past, leading to a heated public argument that paints Ruby in an unflattering light. Once Caleb intervenes, Sadie plays the supportive friend to Ruby while lying to Caleb about her efforts to stop the drinking, successfully deepening the friction in their relationship.
The next day, when Sadie suggests Caleb's controlling, Ruby's unconvinced but is left grateful to have such a supportive friend. Later, Sadie convinces Ruby to have a drink before the business meeting. Caleb enters, furious to see Ruby's wine while Sadie plays innocent. Seeing Caleb so angry, Ruby is reminded of Sadie's suggestion that he's controlling, and takes a pointed swig of her drink. Ruby's client witnesses her arguing with Caleb and leaves unimpressed. Caleb and Ruby blame each other and Ruby storms off. Once she's gone, Sadie manages to convince Caleb that Ruby has a problem with alcohol. Sadie continues to plant the idea of Caleb being controlling in Ruby's mind.
