Emmerdale: Sam Dingle Accused of Affair with Laurel Thomas

Emmerdale is set for dramatic scenes next week as Lydia Dingle accuses her husband Sam of having an affair with Laurel Thomas. The accusation, fuelled by Kim Tate's suspicions, leads to a public confrontation in the Woolpack pub.

Lydia becomes convinced after Kim tells her that Sam has been disappearing and lying about his whereabouts. When Lydia sees Sam hugging Laurel, she believes her worst fears are confirmed and exposes the alleged affair in front of the entire village.

However, the truth is that Sam has been secretly learning to dance with Laurel's help, wanting to surprise his wife. Meanwhile, Laurel's actual mystery man is Ross Barton, who has also been assisting Sam with his dance lessons.

The false accusation leaves Sam reeling and Laurel mortified, raising questions about trust in Sam and Lydia's marriage. The misunderstanding comes shortly after Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden mistakenly suspected Sam and Ross of starting fires on the farm, unaware that teenager Kyle Winchester is the real culprit.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
