Emmerdale villain Tom King is set to face justice next week as the walls close in on Belle Dingle's abusive husband. However, actor James Chase has teased a dark final plan that could lead to a double exit from the village.
Chase revealed that Tom will do whatever it takes to avoid prison, including potentially fleeing with Amelia Spencer. The actor hinted at an 'intense' plot twist, saying: 'He always has a plan, trying to scare Belle, manipulating those he can. Tom always has got a plan and he's got something up his sleeve because he has to if he wants to get out of this situation on top.'
Tom initially plots to leave with Amelia, but may scupper his own plans. Chase explained: 'He says to Amelia they can move away together partly because he doesn't have any friends here anymore... But also it's like when he went away to Wales with Belle, it was a way for him to fully control her.'
The actor also addressed Tom's potential prison fate, stating: 'Tom is a survivor... He would no doubt survive in prison and adapt to be stronger.' Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
