Emmerdale's latest episode saw Thea Ramsden stabbed by her own mother, Kim Tate, who was unaware of her true identity. The incident took place during an explosive showdown, leaving Thea injured and unconscious.
Kim Tate stabs Thea in showdown
Kim had accused Thea of stealing Baby Tate, when in fact the kidnapper was the baby's father, Joe Tate. Thea, meanwhile, accused Kim of selling the baby. When the confrontation escalated, Kim feared for her safety and tried to escape, but Thea stopped her.
Kim then grabbed a knife and stabbed Thea. As Thea bled out, she fell unconscious just as Kim finally realised that Thea had not taken Baby Tate after all.

But is Thea leaving the show, and does she die? Some spoilers seem to give away her fate, as this week she is rushed to hospital. The cast have been teasing for ages the moment Kim finds out about Thea being her long-lost daughter, but this has not happened yet as Kim still has no idea.
While the spoilers stop at Thea's fate being unknown, perhaps this gives away that she does live to tell the tale. Thea also has scenes coming up with Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle. Thea actress Chelsea Edge teased that in December, and towards Christmas, she would be staying with her pal Serena Sugden at the farm.
Fans react to Joe Tate twist
Meanwhile, fans were stunned to realise Joe had kidnapped Baby Tate all along. Fans know that Joe presumably had no idea his son, who he placed up for adoption, was being cared for by Graham Foster. But Tuesday confirmed he did know this and he took his son.
Reacting, a fan said: "HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH IT WAS JOE!????? O M G! I thought it was Thea that took the baby! What a plot twist." Another fan said: "Joe Tate very very sneaky." A third said: "It was Joe!" as a fourth fan added: "Great twist lol never expect is actually Joe."
A further post read: "Damn it. I knew it was Joe!!! I let myself be swayed, but I knew it was Joe!!!" A final comment said: "I wonder how Joe looked after the baby and where he kept him the last couple of days. Did Thea share Graham and Kim's text messages with him, the ones he printed out and hung up at the cottage?"
