Emmerdale confirms Baby Tate's kidnapper isn't Thea in shock twist
Emmerdale confirms Baby Tate kidnapper isn't Thea

Emmerdale has confirmed who kidnapped Baby Tate, and despite her need for revenge, it wasn't DS Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge). The reveal comes in the episode dated October 27, which hasn't aired on ITV1 yet but is available on ITVX and YouTube.

Thea's suspicions and Baby Tate's disappearance

Last week, Ramsden concluded that Kim Tate (Claire King) and Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) were planning to sell Baby Tate. Thea convinced herself that Kim, her biological mother, was planning to get rid of the newborn, given that she was also put up for adoption shortly after birth.

While Thea was putting the final touches to her plan, Kim and Graham faced a different nightmare when Graham realised that Baby Tate had gone missing from the cottage.

Confrontation at Home Farm

With Graham following the kidnapper's notes, Kim was at Home Farm, growing terrified over alarming noises she could hear. She called Thea for help, but Kim soon established that Thea had no intention of helping her when she began to make harsh comments about Kim's relationship with Graham.

As Kim began to fear that Thea was the one who took Baby Tate, Graham had worked out that he needed to meet the kidnapper at the stables. While Graham raced over, Kim tried to defend herself from Thea, attempting to escape the house, but Thea had locked the door.

The real kidnapper revealed

The copper grabbed Kim, but she failed to realise that her mum had picked up a knife. Kim stabbed Thea and watched the woman crumple to the floor.

Back at the stables, Graham found Baby Tate in a Moses basket safe and well. As he turned around, Graham came face to face with the kidnapper, revealing the true culprit behind the abduction.
